21 Weeks All Is Well

Goofy Goofs

Goofy kids... I especially like the wispy flame looking things coming out of Bailey's eyes.
Wonder if they get it from their Dad?

Happy Birthday Alex!

I am a slacker mom. Alex had his 10th birthday yesterday and I didn't do a post. I will try to make up for it today.

I remember that tiny little boy face looking up at us and wondering what in the world will I do with a boy. We found out fast, from what we hear he broke us in easy. He has always been a quiet boy, until you get him talking about something he likes, (nuclear power plants while on vacation when he was 4, Star Wars, Club Penguin). When it is time for me to make dinner or anything else, like cookies, he is the one who is first to volunteer to help me. Alex we love you lots and are very proud of you. We hope you had a great day.

We Know What The Baby Is!

Never have we been in such a hurry to find out what a baby is. This one had us stumped, we would lean one way and then the other. I am at 18 weeks according to our doctor. He didn't make our next appointment until April 28th that puts us at 21 weeks. Now we realize that the "20 week" ultrasound is to check the baby and make sure everything is okay and we are totally on board with that. However, we really wanted to know what this baby is. So we found a way to find out. We went to someone who does ultrasounds, (the girl did Hillary's when she was pregnant with Owen).

We are happy to report....it's a GIRL! I asked Dan how he thought we should tell my family since they were coming to our house last night, and the picture above is what he suggested. You see, we had decided that if it was a girl we will name her Lily. So Lily it is. Good idea daddy!

Baby Update

Today we went to the doctor for a standard checkup. The baby would not cooperate and let us hear it's heartbeat. Our Doctor said, "We don't let you go without hearing or seeing the heartbeat." so we got to see instead. We showed you trouble making baby! Everything looks good, it's super wiggly and was doing something that looked very much like thumb sucking or maybe hand eating.
